Brass Templates from Lasting Impressions and Rubber Stamping.

About Me

My photo
Hi. I'm Donna and the owner of a business called Luv2Emboss. I've been crafting since the moment I could color with a crayon without eating it first! I have been embossing with Lasting Impressions' Brass Templates for 20 years and I am on their Design Team. I also love to craft with rubber stamps and I sell Lawn Fawn products. I hope the cards and projects I display will perk your interest to try a new craft or play with an old one! Enjoy. :-)

A GARDEN HOME

One of my very closest friends just moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Scottsdale, Arizona and I thought I would send her a card wishing her good health and happiness in her new home.  I found this adorable Stampendous Stamp, Garden Home, #CRW164, in my ever-growing-stamp-collection, and figured it just might do the trick!

The stamp is 3 1/4" tall and 4" wide so my card base is a 5" square card.  I stamped the image on White Linen Cardstock and used a Cross-Stitched Frame Die Set from Lawn Fawn to cut it out. Next I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers, did some faux "stitching" with a black pen, and added White 3-D Scribbles Paint Dots to complete the card.  Then, while on a roll, I made up kits for my next card classes using the Stampendous Stamp Happy Birds, #SSC1255:

This card measures 5 1/4" tall x 12" long and folds flat.  I love birds so I just couldn't resist creating this card with little "wing ribbons" stapled at the top of each section.  I'm happy with the way it turned out.  I hope my classmates enjoy putting it together.  Stamping joys, :-)  Donna

EASTER PARADE!

Good morning!  The Easter Parade is well on it's way over at Lasting Impressions.  If you have not had an opportunity to go look and buy some fun oldies but goodies restocked templates, do so while you can because I hear they are going fast.  Here's a look at the latest card samples I just posted on the L.I. Blog from Design Team Member Barbara!  They are an Easter Parade of their own!

.
Donna’s Crackin Eggs, L.I. Template #L9744.

Donna’s Peek-a-Boo Slider, L.I. Template #L9275, from the front and the inside of card.

Be sure and check out the new cardstock and fun templates at Lasting Impressions.  Embossing joys, :-)  Donna

IT'S A WHOPPER!

Our weather here in San Diego has been so crazy ... crazy enough to turn a simple cold into a whopper ... and I do mean a HUGE WHOPPER.  As I am healing from this miserable cold (and now my hubby has it), here's a quick look at one of my very favorite templates from Lasting Impressions.  I can't begin to tell you how many cards I have made using M19, Sketch Frames.  First I use the Colored Impressions' Software to print the basic layout on white cardstock and then I add an embossed image. Here are two examples of this very easy, and very quick, idea:

Let your imagination run wild and see how many L.I. embossed images you can mount on this layout ... and make a few whoppers of your own!

SPRING IS HERE!

I love birds and when I saw this adorable Stampendous Stamp Set entitled Happy Birds, I just knew I had to own it!  Photo 1 below is the card closed and Photo 2 is the card opened:

I started out by designing a 4-panel card measuring 12" x 5 1/4" and scored at 3, 6, and 9 inches.. The white panels are 2 1/2" x 4".  I colored the images with Copic Markers; mounted them on the panels with mounting tape; and, added my faux stitching to each panel.

I also love to combine my stamping with my love of embossing and if you have time to travel through my older blog posts, you'll see I have done a lot of embossing with brass templates, all from Lasting Impressions.  You can see more of my embossing by visiting Lasting Impresisons' Blog on their web site linked under "My Favorite Sites."

Here is another example where I combined some of Lasting Impresisons' beautiful cardstock with a really cute image from Stamping Bella:
