Brass Templates from Lasting Impressions and Rubber Stamping.

About Me

My photo
Hi. I'm Donna and the owner of a business called Luv2Emboss. I've been crafting since the moment I could color with a crayon without eating it first! I have been embossing with Lasting Impressions' Brass Templates for 20 years and I am on their Design Team. I also love to craft with rubber stamps and I sell Lawn Fawn products. I hope the cards and projects I display will perk your interest to try a new craft or play with an old one! Enjoy. :-)

A Christmas Gift

My dear Aussie buddy Julie made me an adorable T-Shirt to wear when I teach my embossing classes. It's so me ... right up to the tall bunny since I'm 6 ft myself. She used an iron fabric that works so well with Lasting Impression's Colored Impressions Software. Take a look and also admire, if you will, the beautiful card that came with this fabulous gift. I'm a lucky girl.

Christmas is Coming!

Well, Christmas is coming rather I'm ready or not! I did manage to get all my cards out and this year I decided to do a shadow box. I hope you all got your cards done too!

The turkey has left the building!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I sure did ... including a visit from my Arizona Grandchildren who are pure pleasure to have! While I am not a stamper, I created this step card with the manger stamps I gave them to play with and we really had some fun hours creating cards and gift tags!

Happy Thanksgiving

As promised, here are the other sides of my Never Ending Card that go with the last page I previously posted (penguin and gingerbread man). It was a wonderful class and everyone enjoyed this new card idea. I hope you will too! Donna

Step Cards!

I love making "Step Cards" and they can be a bit tricky but so fun to make ... and receive! Here's a great one I just got from one of my closest buddies who loves embossing as much as I do! I taught her how to make a Step Card and she has created some of the best designs, using this technique, that I've ever seen. Take a peek at this one. Just adorable. Thank you Jan!

Christmas is coming, oh no!

As I mentioned in previous post, fall/winter is coming and Christmas will soon be here. I belong to a group of embossers (The Bossy Group) and each month we have a host who chooses a template and sends embossed pieces of same to members to create their own card. Here's November's sample from a wonderfully talented friend of mine, Nettie. Her card is gorgeous and I can't wait to get my "pieces."

A Happy Autumn Monday ... In San Diego!

OMG but we've had such strange weather this year. I think Autumn/Winter is finally upon us and I got the nicest birthday card from my Canadian Buddy, Cin. Take a peek at her card done with embossed pumpkins, Cuttlebug's Autumn Embossing Folder and just the right orange check ribbon to complete the card. It's a keeper!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Well, today is my 65th birthday. Oh my ... that does sound old. I'm one of those that celebrates each and every birthday the whole October month long! Hurrah. LOL I've received some wonderful craft gifts already and here's just a peek at a few embossing ones. The Cake Mix Project was made by Heidi and includes a card, the cake mix, frosting and sprinkles to decorate the cake! Barbara sent me the darling card with a group of goodies; my Aussie buddy Julie sent me the shirt a while back and now some Cottage Cutz Dies; and my little Canadian buddy Cin sent me the Fall Door Hanger. Nettie sent me the Carmel Apple Kit shown below. I'm a lucky girl. Thank you, my wonderful craft girlfriends. You are the best. :-)

Corn-fused anyone?

OMG, my youngest daughter just turned 40 (ouch) and I made this card for her. The outside says, "I'm corn-fused" and the inside reads, "You can't be 40 ... I'm only 29!" I've had this corn template from Lasting Impressions for quite a while and this was the perfect time to use it. I'm always "corn-fused" so I think I shall get a lot of use out of the simple design.

Candy Apples for Halloween Anyone?

Today I received the cutest gift from my embossing buddy Nettie! This girl is so talented and she comes up with some really clever ideas. Take a look at her Candy Apple "kit" using L.I. Template #L9407 while I go make some apples. Yum.

Need a Squeeze?

Need a squeeze to get your week going? How about this design from Lasting Impressions. Cute, huh? The template is from their Spring/Summer Collection ... #L9698. Enjoy your lemonade or maragarita while you are at it. :-)

Happy Sunday Catch-Up

Well, I have some catching up to do. First a couple more Post-It Holders ... one made with a Cottage Cutz Die (Peach). Lasting Impressions works so well with other mediums, i.e., this Sizzix Memo Post-It Holder and other Dies like Cottage Cutz., Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, etc. Here's anothe version of the daisy holder and the peach one. Hope you like them. :-)

Ooopsy Daisy Day!

Monday was yet another ooopsy daisy trash can accident for me! I'm unsure what it is about me and trash cans but we do not mix well! :-) Long story short, I fell with my flip flops on sand and the heavy, very full trash can I was walking down our steep driveway "took me down." My left leg is badly bruised and cut in several places. The gory details are not that important ... just know that my leg is not broken ... it's just not pretty.

Post-it anyone?

Sizzix makes a very cute Post-It Holder and it works really well with Lasting Impressions Templates. Here's a look at my latest version. Have a happy day!

Have it your way Whopper!

Good morning. I decided last night that the hot dog needed a partner and there just so happens to be a hamburger on the same template (#L9305). This card would be great for a guy's birthday too ... or a party invite to a BBQ. It's a wonderful design by Lasting Impressions! Makes me hungry. :-)

Card for a guy?

I think cards for men are the hardest to design, don't you? I was playing around today and came up with this idea. Hot dogs anyone?

Life is Good!

Lasting Impressions is selling another one of my designs as a Kit for just $12.95. Here's a peek, along with some of their Back-to-School ideas. Life is good!

Happy Saturday!

I belong to a card group called The Bossy Group. We've been playing a very successful card challenge where one member is the host for the month and she sends embossed "pieces" to members and we all create our own card from the pieces and then post a photo of same to see how many different designs we can come up with. Member Heidi was the host for August and she designed a beautiful birthday card sample and mailed her "pieces" to those of us who joined the game. Here's Heidi's original version and my creation from her "pieces." I hope you enjoy the weekend. I really enjoyed this card challenge! :-)

Tuesday's Movie Date!

My husband and I go to the movies on Tuesday's ... it's a date! But before we go, I want to add a couple more Christmas Card Samples. Enjoy your day ... it's a beautiful one here in San Diego!
