Good morning everyone.  Where did May go?  Monday will be June 1st and I will post some adorable ideas from the Design Team for June's Template Challenge.  Before I do that, I must mention that Design Team Members Kaye and Barbara both had birthdays in May and here is my funny story about their birthdays:

Kaye has always used a paper towel for dabbing Tim Holtz' Distress Inks, instead of a brush or sponge dauber, on her card images.   I have teased Kaye for years about her doing this and apparently Barbara sent Kaye a set of daubers for her birthday.  Now the challenge is out there for Kaye to use them.  Will she manage without her paper towels?  That is anyone's guess.  LOL

Kaye sent Barbara, for her birthday, her May's Challenge Template Card and an adorable vase of button Flowers and ... I got a surprise also.  Please see photo above for the cute flower vase.and card Kaye sent me.  Here is Kaye's card to Barbara:

Good morning everyone and Happy (early) Birthday to anyone born in June!  June is just around the corner and so is my Monthly Template Challenge.  I hope you will check-in often to see the adorable projects I have from the Design Team!  My Aussie buddy Julie just sent me the card above and it definitely made me smile.  This elephant is part of the LI Zoo Template and the Template is so versatile in that you can separate each animal on its own, duplicate the image, as Julie has done here, or simply add a coconut, as Design Team member Jan has done below.  Jan used the palm tree from LI's Surf's Up Template to make this wonderful Gift Bag:

JUNE'S MONTHLY TEMPLATE CHALLENGE!

Good morning everyone.  For those of you who celebrated, I hope you had a great Mother's Day Weekend.  I sure did.  My family all gathered on SKYPE to open gifts and cards and we did a virtual tour of Claude Monet's Museum.  Then we girls, in the family, all watched the new "Little Women" movie, in our separate homes, then texted our reviews of the film.  It was such a fun day.  Now I'm ready for June's Template Challenge.  If any of you have these two templates, I would love to see what you have done with them:

CINCO DE MAYO

Karie's LI Gnome Cinco de Mayo Card.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone.  While I just posted the May Challenge cards yesterday, I just could not let this day go by without showing you this funny card that Karie created with the retired gnome template from Lasting Impressions, along with the cactus template #L9805.  While the gnome is no longer available, the cactus template is!  Here's a card I did last year for Valentine's Day:

You can expect to see more gnome images from Karie as it is one of her favorites and she always makes me smile with her ideas!  The gnome was a special template included in owner Kerry's Emboss-A-Lot Classes she taught last year.  If any of you have the gnome, I would love to see what you do with your gnome to make people smile!

MAY CHALLENGE

Now then, if you don't have the May Challenge Template #L9758, can you still make these ideas?  You can if you own LI's Colored Impressions Software.  You simply locate the template in the software and print the Summer Flowers out on white paper, colored or not, and cut them out and use the images like a die cut.  Here is a beautiful example from Jan:

Jan used the software to print out both flowers two times so she could layer them.  All four are printed on white cardstock.  She then colored them with her Copic Markers, cut them out, and curled the petals to make them look more embossed.  She used some of the new LI papers, adding her faux stitching and she made a beautiful card all without the actual template!  Great job Jan!  :-)
