Brass Templates from Lasting Impressions and Rubber Stamping.

About Me

My photo
Hi. I'm Donna and the owner of a business called Luv2Emboss. I've been crafting since the moment I could color with a crayon without eating it first! I have been embossing with Lasting Impressions' Brass Templates for 20 years and I am on their Design Team. I also love to craft with rubber stamps and I sell Lawn Fawn products. I hope the cards and projects I display will perk your interest to try a new craft or play with an old one! Enjoy. :-)

SUMMER CAMP IS GONE ... OCTOBER BEGINS!

Donna's LI Cut Out from Summer Camp

Good morning everyone!  LI's Summer Camp has come to an end and I think maybe the chicken Cut Outs were my favorite.  I've always loved birds and I find I can't resist a good looking bird to add to my cards.  Another thing I can't resist?  Celebrating my birthday the whole month of October!  That's right ... for me, every day in October is a birthday celebration and that has become more and more evident every day I am on this "side of the grass!"  :-)  Do you have a favorite birthday card you have created and can't part with?  OMG ... you would not believe how many cards I keep, in shoe boxes no less, because I simply can't part with them.  Here are just a few of my favorites, along with some birthday cards I've received.  If you would like to share your cards, please send me a photo at Luv2Emboss@aol.com.  I would love to post them.  Have an amazing day.  :-)  Donna

SEASON FOR FREEZIN'

Donna's Snowballs using LI Template #L9178.

Good afternoon everyone.  For those of you following Summer Camp at Lasting Impressions you know today's video was all about Frosty Fun and when I think of Frosty Fun, I'm thinking snowmen and snowballs!  Who doesn't like a good snowball fight, right?  And here is my snowman along with Karie's snowmen:

Yesterday's video was delayed and I didn't get to watch it until this morning.  It was entitled, "Little Snowy Church" and here is what Karie and I did with our embossed versions:

I love the stained glass look of Karie's church window, don't you?

Tomorrow's LI Class Video is entitled, "Merry & Bright Gift Card Holders."  I can't wait to see what that is all about.  Please come back and join me after class.  I will have lots more to share.  Happy Embossing, :-)  Donna.

ARE YOU FREEZIN' YET?

Donna's Christmas Trees from "Season for Freezin" class.

Happy Sunday everyone.  Are you going to watch LI's next class videos on Monday?  I actually couldn't wait after LI announced a delay and I made my own version (above) of "Farm Fresh Christmas Trees."  I love how it turned out.  Now, if making that card only helped with our San Diego weather because we are a long way from "freezin."  This week we reached an all time high I think of 104.  Ouch ... trust me, it was hot and the A/C was on!  :-)

So, as I wait for Monday's class, I got busy and made some Halloween Cards.  I hope these will inspire you!  Happy Embossing, :-)  Donna.

HALLOWEEN WITH BARBARA

Donna's Pumpkin Witch LI #L9069

Good afternoon!  I have a couple of very cute Halloween ideas from Design Team Member Barbara and, with time on my hands, and not a stylus for once (LOL), here is what she sent me recently:

Barbara's Halloween Truck LI #L9413, #L9422, #L1085 & L9670

Time and time again, Barbara has come up with the cutest designs using Lasting Impression's Truck Template.  I love the colors she used on this truck and how adorable is that ghost and the cat taking a ride with bats flying overhead and the cutest pumpkins maybe trying to catch a ride!  I love it.  :-)  And look how cute she made these Halloween Jars!  I wonder what is inside those jars.  Candy maybe?

HALLOWEEN TAGS!

Karie's Halloween Sentiment Poem

If any of you are watching Lasting Impressions' Summer Class Videos, then you know that the last week of classes, with a Christmas theme, has been delayed and will start next Monday, September 21st.  So, I decided we might as well slip some Halloween ideas in on the Blog while we wait.  Design Team member Karie just sent me some fabulous Halloween Tags which, BTW, could easily be turned into a greeting card as well.  Take a look at these ideas.  I know they will inspire you like they did me!  Happy Embossing, :-)  Donna

HALLOWEEN DAYS GONE BY!

Kaye's October 2017 Coaster Calendar, Template L9339.

As most of us struggle through this pandemic, I am reminded that every day may not be good, but there is good in every day!  And today, I am counting my blessings for my crafty friends and family. With Halloween approaching next month, I am wondering what kind of Halloween will this year bring?  Will there be "Trick-or-Treaters," for example?  The image above was made by Design Team Member Kaye when she taught a Coaster Calendar Class in 2017, at Lasting Impressions.  OMG ... three years ago?  And who puts purple and orange together?  Really?  Yep ... perfect for Halloween!  LOL  And here is the "inside" of a Halloween explosion Box I made several years ago (first layer only):

Donna's Halloween Explosion Box inside!  Templates L9104, S404, S410, S603, L9419.

Will you be sending Halloween Cards this year?  In case you might, here are some examples of  "Halloween Days Gone By," and some new ideas will be posted in the days to come!  So, be sure and check in again and again!  Happy Halloween, errrrrr Embossing!   :-)  Donna
