Brass Templates from Lasting Impressions and Rubber Stamping.

About Me

My photo
Hi. I'm Donna and the owner of a business called Luv2Emboss. I've been crafting since the moment I could color with a crayon without eating it first! I have been embossing with Lasting Impressions' Brass Templates for 20 years and I am on their Design Team. I also love to craft with rubber stamps and I sell Lawn Fawn products. I hope the cards and projects I display will perk your interest to try a new craft or play with an old one! Enjoy. :-)

The Bunny is on his way!

Easter is approaching and here's a couple of quickie ideas from L.I. I hope you will "hop-to-it" and make a few. I did! :-)

First Day of Spring!

Today I made a card similar to one designed by L.I. a couple of years ago. My version is a 12x12" cardstock folded twice for a finished size of 6" square. Each "page" can then be decorated like you would an individual card. This is how mine turned out and it's ready for photos! Try it.

Happy Easter Buddies!

Today I made a card for a group I belong to called The Bossy Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/The-Bossy-Group/). We have a challenge there each month and this one involved creating a bunny card with "pieces" sent by the host for March's Same Game Challenge. It's fun to see how many ways you can use the same brass template design (#L9049). Here's my version ... they are Easter Buddies!

Easter in a Mug!

As I mentioned before, Lasting Impressions is coming out with new templates next month! And, while we wait, here's a very cute idea for Easter from L.I. A little Carrot Cake in a Mug for you to share with others during this time (or any time) of year! Fill an oven proof mug with a Carrot Cake mix in a baggie, wrap with cellophane or tie with a ribbon and add an embossed tag with the baking instructions on the back. For complete recipe and others visit Craftbits.com. The tag reads: A gift for you because your friendship is more precious than 24 "carrot" gold! Neat idea, huh? :-)

I'm on the mend!

Hurrah ... I'm on the mend and today I want you to see the bunny butt card I mentioned the other day. The idea was originally from my friend Nettie. I loved the idea so much, I "pinched" it and here it is:

It's a good day!

It's a good day and I'm slowly healing. Yippee. I've been busy preparing for my embossing class tomorrow. Take a peek at the Shaker Box we are going to do. I love this little bunny (L.I. #L9272) and my good friend Nettie once did a card with this bunny and it said, "Do you think my butt's too big?" Hmmmmm, even bunnies are worried! Oh well ... it's a good day!

Rib Cage Sprain

Well, I've sprained my rib cage ... all from reaching deep in that large trash can. I won't be doing that again! Heck with those pasta sauce jars ... wherever they might be. New Lasting Impressions Templates arrive April 1st and I'll be posting those soon and doing lots of embossing while I sit and heal. :-)

I'm an idiot!

Okay ... I'm an idiot. Remember how I stewed over the missing 4 jars of pasta sauce? Well yesterday I was still stewing and decided to look in the trash for the grocery receipt! I mean, did I really buy those 4 jars? We have those tall trash cans you put out on the street every week and I'm now leaning over the edge of one ... trying to reach the bottom where the last bit of trash was hiding! It was a long reach and after nearly falling in, I ended up rubbing the right side of my rib cage against the lip of the can and it felt like my ribs actually rolled or rippled over 1-2-3. Immediatley, I am in pain. Oh my ... what have I done now. Stay tuned.

It's a new day ... thank heavens!

We've all had days when things go wrong and yesterday, for me, was no exception! Now my whole day wasn't ruined ... just my evening! I had planned to surprise my hubby with our favorite pasta dish from Giada. Simple ingredients really ... brocolli, lots of garlic, sausage, red pepper, cheese and pasta. What's not to like? Well, I went to the refrigerator to get the brocolli and nope ... couldn't find it. Since pasta was cooking and sausage was done, I thought, "Okay Donna just add some pasta sauce and call it done." After all ... I did just buy 4 jars of sauce at the store on Monday. Hmmmmmm ... now where did I put that sauce? Well, Dick and I both looked high and low with no success. I mean ... where did 4 jars go? My suspicions are ... left behind at the store! Now what? No sauce; pasta is done and sausage is now over-cooked. My dinner ruined. So glad it's a new day!
